Founded by Nafsi Huru and organized by Hurulogics International, Kickz & Barz began in Nairobi as a home for Kenyan hip-hop, sneaker culture, art and creative enterprise.
Its mission is to amplify Kenyan creativity, inspire youth entrepreneurship and preserve musical heritage through immersive cultural experiences. The vision: grow into East Africa’s leading sneaker and urban culture festival.
Historical milestones documented in the official KNB profile. Gallery images are archival KNB photography and are not assigned to specific editions.
Launched at Embe Creatives on Maji Mazuri Road in Nairobi, celebrating Abbas Kubaff with live music, graffiti by Swift 9, a sneaker and lifestyle marketplace, producer showcases and gaming.
The second edition marked Cannibal & Sharama’s first live reunion performance in 13 years, with a mural by Swift 9 and an expanding marketplace.
The third edition honored Zakah with live graffiti and performance, celebrating Kenyan hip-hop heritage and drawing fellow artists in solidarity.
The fourth edition honored Kitu Sewer and recorded attendance of 480. When health complications prevented his attendance, the community rallied around him and gifted his parents a mural.
Artists united for a fundraising musical production supporting Kitu Sewer’s recovery, in partnership with Hit Labzz at Homeboyz Institute of Technology.
A female-led edition celebrating Nazizi and marking KNB’s first event at K1 Klub House. The program featured performances, a vibrant vendor market and appearances by fellow artists.
The sixth numbered edition honored Collo, King Wa Rap, at K1 Klub House, with live performances, DJs, Swift 9 graffiti and a 99 Degrees producers showcase.

From its first edition to the next live event, KNB continues connecting artists, vendors, fans and the creative community.
